EPL: Who Will Finish Fourth in the Premier League This Season?

Robert WesleyContributor IIApril 23, 2011

Tottenham?

Manchester City?

Liverpool?

I will now do my opinions on each team, their run ins, and my opinions. I will then run down where I think they will finish in the league.

Manchester City

Manchester City has not been in the best of form lately. They're coming off a 3-0 loss to Liverpool two weeks ago but beat Man U last week in the FA Cup semi final, which will give them some momentum.

City hasn't won away since Boxing Day and are heading into a match against the Blackburn Rovers tomorrow. People expect a City win but City are unpredictable. They could win, draw or lose.

I think they will draw 1-1 tomorrow. With Carlos Tevez out for the next three games, Man City will struggle. Balotelli isn't very good this season, as many expected he would be. The only really goal scorer in the City team is David Silva, who rarely scores, and Dzeko whose yet to score in the Premier League. Here is City's run in and my predictions for the matches:

Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Manchester City

Manchester City 2-1 West Ham United

Everton 2-0 Manchester City

Manchester City 1-1 Tottenham

Manchester City 1-0 Stoke City

Bolton Wanderers 1-0 Manchester City.

Liverpool

Liverpool have been in fantastic form lately, coming off a 5-0 demolishing of Birmingham.Maxi grabbed his first hat-trick for the Reds and Dirk Kuyt continued his impressive form.

Liverpool got a mediocre draw with Arsenal last Sunday, and are proving that fourth place is still in their grasps. Kenny Dalglish has done a great job since taking over, Liverpool were in a relegation battle before the Dalglish revolution.

Liverpool are three points behind Tottenham and five behind City. If Liverpool didn't draw and lose to teams they should beat, like Stoke City and West Brom, Liverpool would be fourth right now, and maybe even third.

The two losses to relegation battling Blackpool has really hurt Liverpool and they need to forget about that and move on.

This is the run in for Liverpool:

Liverpool 3-1 Newcastle United

Fulham 0-2 Liverpool

Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham

Aston Villa 1-3 Liverpool.

Tottenham

Tottenham haven't been on good form for a few months now. Their last win was a narrow 3-2 victory over Stoke. Jermaine Defoe has not been on very good form but managed to grab his 100th league goal for them today against West Brom.

The 4-0 loss to Real Madrid is what I think has ended their season and will affect them in their Champions League chase this season. No one's been on good form lately. Gareth Bale is unsure over his future and hasn't done anything since returning from injury, although he did win Player of the Year.

Here are Tottenham's run in's:

Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Tottenham 1-0 Blackpool

Man City 1-1 Tottenham

Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham

Tottenham 3-2 Birmingham

My Predicted Finish:

4. Liverpool - Points: 64 - Goal Difference: 20

5. Manchester City - Points: 64 - Goal Difference: 19

6. Tottenham - Points: 62.

I think Liverpool will finish fourth this season with City in fifth, and Spurs in sixth. Who do you think will finish in fourth this season?
