My Top 10 Favorite WWE Wrestlers of All Time

Shawn Michaels

Over the years, hundreds of WWE superstars have come and gone, but only few are considered legends.

We've seen some of the greatest grace us with countless Wrestlemania moments, we've seen numerous match of the year candidates, and above all, we've seen some of the most entertaining moments in WWE history.

In this list, I will somehow narrow all these superstars down to 10 and pick my 10 top favorite superstars in WWE history.

On a side note, this is my first article in about three months, so hopefully I don't have ring rust, haha.

10. The Undertaker

What has the Undertaker not accomplished in his outstanding 20-year career?

He's won the Royal Rumble, he's a multiple time World Champion, and who could forget his 18-0 winning streak at Wrestlemania!

On top of that, Undertaker is one of the few men who have the privilege of saying that they have actually defeated Hulk Hogan.

Undertaker has had some awesome feuds against the likes of the Rock, Batista, Bret Hart, Brock Lesnar and most recently, Shawn Michaels.

The Deadman is obviously near the end of his career, but he will never be forgotten.

9. Ric Flair

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

The "Nature Boy" is a legend among legends. The name Ric Flair will always be synonymous with pro wrestling. The classic back-chops, the awesome/almost believable overselling, and the extremely painful figure four leg lock are just of the things Ric Flair has popularized.

Flair currently wrestles for TNA and is one of the leaders of the Immortal faction. It looks like Ric Flair is going to have one of those wrestling careers that will never end, and oddly, I'm okay with that.

8. Bret Hart

The excellence of execution himself, Bret Hart. Few wrestlers have ever possessed the amount of skill that Bret Hart had in his prime.

All the skills Bret Hart lacked on the mic (and he lacked a lot), he made up with in the ring.

Who could forget his classic matches against the British Bulldog and Shawn Michaels?

More recently, Bret Hart defeated Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania 26, and also became the GM of Monday Night Raw.

7. Triple H

Even though Triple H's career has been plagued with backstage politics, if you look past all the political fog, you can see that Triple H has had one hell of a career.

"The Game" was one of the essential figures in WWF's Attitude era. His McMahon-Helmsley regime created the foundation for one of the greatest feuds ever against the Rock back in 2000.

Since then, Triple H has still given us some notable feuds against the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Batista, John Cena and Randy Orton.

Triple H has been off of TV since April, but is set to return anytime now. Who knows? He may even be the GM!

6. Kurt Angle

The man who "won a gold medal with a broken freakin' neck," Kurt Angle was the first Olympic gold medalist to ever enter a WWE ring. Angle became an instant success with his impressive mic skills and his superb wrestling skills.

During his nine-year career, Kurt Angle gave us some amazing matches against legends like the Undertaker, the Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Plus, Angle put on one of the greatest matches in Wrestlemania history when he faced Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 21. Angle is now wrestling for TNA and it's just a matter of time until the gold medalist once again becomes TNA world champion.

#5. The Rock

The great one, the people's champion, the Brahma bull and No. 5 on this list, the Rock is obviously one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

The first-ever third-generation superstar, the Rock may be the most charismatic superstar the industry has ever seen. His list of 5 star feuds are almost endless and range from newbies such as Brock Lesnar, to legends like Triple H.

On top of all these feuds, is his fantastic rivalry with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Their match at Wrestlemania 17 is one of the best and most shocking Wrestlemania main events in recent memory.

It's been five years since we last saw the Rock in a match, and we all know that he is way overdue for a return.

4. Chris Jericho

How could one try to construct a list of the top 10 WWE wrestlers of all time, and leave off the man who beat The Rock and Stone Cold in the same night?

Chris Jericho has had quite a career in the WWE, with his crowning achievement being how he is the first ever Undisputed WWE Champion.

With unparalleled mic and ring skills, Chris Jericho is obviously one of the best wrestlers to ever grace the WWE. I'm still anticipating the day that Y2J finally returns to WWE. Until then, I'll just watch some of his countless five-star matches on YouTube.

3. Stone Cold Steve Austin

The face of the "Attitude Era," Stone Cold Steve Austin could easily be argued as the greatest wrestler to ever live.

Similarly to how Decca Records must still be mad for rejecting the Beatles, Eric Bischoff must be distraught for rejecting Stone Cold Steve Austin.

This beer drinking, fingering flipping, surly redneck changed the face of WWE forever by ushering in the attitude era.

His exceptional feuds with stars like Triple H, the Rock and the Undertaker were both emotional and exciting.

The last time we saw Austin was back in March when he was the Guest Host of Raw, and even though we didn't get to see any stunners, it was still nice to see the bionic redneck on Raw again.

2. Chris Benoit

Some may say that Chris Benoit is too high on the list, but there's just something about Benoit that I love. Although Benoit was only fortunate enough to have one reign as world champion, it was one hell of a reign and he defeated opponents like Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Kane to hold onto the prestigious championship.

Chris Benoit may have been the greatest technical wrestler ever to live, his skills rival those of Bret Hart and Kurt Angle.

While most would say Chris had mediocre mic skills at best, I really liked them because they made him sound bad ass. Although Benoit is now deceased, his legacy still lives on forever.

1. Shawn Michaels

The Heart Break Kid, the Showstopper, the Icon, the Headliner, the Main Event, Mr. Wrestlemania, you don't just get names like those, you earn them, and Shawn Michaels definitely earned every single one of those names.

Over his 25-year career, Shawn Michaels gave us an endless number of 5 star matches. Just to name a few, HBK vs Kurt Angle, HBK vs John Cena, HBK vs Razor Ramon, HBK vs Chris Benoit vs Triple H, HBK vs Ric Flair, HBK vs Bret Hart, and two 5 star matches against the Undertaker.

On top of that, Shawn Michaels has an extensive catalog of 5 star feuds with legends like Triple H, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Ric Flair and the Undertaker.

Shawn Michaels has really accomplished it all in this business, a 2 time Royal Rumble winner, a 4 time world champion, and a lock-in for the hall of fame, there's no doubt in my mind that Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler ever to live.
