Following a fantastic matchday one of the Champions League that saw the likes of Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea dominate, matchday two of the Champions League proved to be just as fantastic as its prior counterpart.

From Chelsea's win over Marseille to Inter's demolition of Werder Breman, this really was a fantastic two days of football.

With the week over, here are some observations we can make from the Champions League from this second week of matches.

Bayern Munich Are Back on Track After Come-From-Behind Win Against Basel

After struggling in the Bundesliga this season, Bayern Munich were able to turn the tables in the second half against Basel.

That primarily was due to Bastian Schweinsteiger scoring two goals in the second half, and Bayern now find themselves with six points in two Champions League matches.

Now, Bayern will have Cluj Napoca in their next two matches as Bayern get ready to go onto the round of 16.

Spartak Moscow Will Advance From Group F

After seeing Marseille get crushed at Stamford Bridge, it has become apparent that at least on Russian side will advance onto the round of 16 for a second straight season.

That side that should advance will be Spartak Moscow, who won by a 3-0 score at home against MSK Zilina to claim their sixth point already in this Champions League campaign.

Now, Spartak will have a fantastic match on October 19 as Chelsea travel up to the Luzhniki Stadium in a match that could decide the fate of which side will finish first in Group F.

Chelsea Are Dominant So Far in the Champions League

Chelsea really looked fantastic against Marseille at Stamford Bridge with first half goals from John Terry and Nicolas Anelka proving to be enough for Chelsea to win.

But, Chelsea should have scored several more times in the second half, but were extremely unlucky as their shots continued to hit the post throughout the second half.

Once Chelsea start to finish these chances better, they will be extremely difficult to tame as they will be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of this Champions League season.

Marseille Are Europa League Bound Again

Despite completing the French double last season, Marseille once again were overwhelmed in the Champions League this season following their 2-0 loss to Chelsea.

But throughout the match, Marseille looked uninspired and were really taken apart by Chelsea.

With Spartak Moscow's success and Chelsea being in their group, Marseille will be in the Europa League in all likelihood.

Milan Need to Start Playing Better

After pulling out an unconvincing victory against Auxerre during matchday one, AC Milan were just as unconvincing against Ajax in a 1-1 draw.

Throughout the match, Milan blew some great chances (including a 1 v 1 between Robinho and Maarten Stekelenburg) and now have Real Madrid in their next two matches.

If Milan do not get points in their final two matchdays, they could possibly find themselves in the Europa League.

In All Likelihood, Braga Will Not Advance

A popular pick to advance from the group stage after the Champions League draw, Braga have found themselves overwhelmed at times as they have been outscored 9-0 in their two Champions League fixtures.

But the most disappointing part of this is that Braga just lost their last match by a 3-0 scoreline to Shakhtar Donetsk in which Braga just looked overwhelmed by giving up three second half goals.

Now, it will be extremely hard for Braga to advance and they will need a miracle to advance.

Tottenham Will Be Difficult To Beat at White Hart Lane

Following a 2-2 draw in Germany to Werder Breman, Tottenham left a huge imprint on their first ever Champions League group stage match in White Hart Lane as they won 4-1 against Twente.

Throughout the match, Spurs were the more dominant side, and despite Rafael van der Vaart's red card, the offense just didn't stop working.

Next up for Spurs is a trip to the San Siro, as last year's champions Inter Milan will be looking to win a match that could decide who tops the group.

Schalke Can Advance If They Can Keep Up This Recent Hot Streak

After an abysmal start to the season, Schalke have not lost in their last three competitive matches as the squad now gets more familiar with each other.

Especially considering that Schalke were able to put together a great ending to their win against Benfica, as Jefferson Farfan and summer signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar were both able to score in the final 20 minutes to give Schalke the win.

Considering that Lyon are their only other significant opponent, Schalke can find themselves out of the group even if they are still languishing in the Bundesliga's relegation zone.

Javier Hernandez Is the Next Ole Gunnar Solskjær For Manchester United

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Ole Gunnar Solskjær made himself into one of the greatest substitute players of all-time as his timely goals were a major reason why Man United were so successful during this time.

Now, Javier Hernandez has taken that role over as he scored a late winner against Valencia to get Manchester United their first Champions League goal and win of this season.

With Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney ahead of him, Hernandez can make himself extremely valuable off the bench as he continues to show what a great player he can become.

Rangers Should Be Able to Advance From Group C

Following a draw at Old Trafford and a win over the weakest side in the Champions League in Bursaspor by a 1-0 scoreline, Rangers find themselves tied with Manchester United atop of Group C, something that very few people thought was possible at the beginning of the Champions League season.

Now, with Valencia coming up in their next two matches, Rangers should be able to advance from this group as long as they don't lose both matches to their Spanish opposition.

Bursapor Will Finish Last in Group C

Two matches in, Bursaspor look completely overwhelmed and now they have Manchester United as their next opposition for the next two matches.

Even if Manchester United will not put out a top squad in one of these matches, Bursaspor have the odds completely against them as they will not play any European football after December this season.

Rubin Kazan Have Barcelona's Number

Three matches in the last two seasons, and it has been extremely apparent that Rubin Kazan have something figured out about Barcelona.

They are 1-2-0 in those three matches, and their defensive style has been incredible in holding the Catalan side to just two goals in those three matches.

If Rubin can pull off another upset at the Camp Nou in December, they will prove to do something that no one in La Liga can ever do; stop Barcelona.

Barcelona Will Win Group D Despite a Draw Against Rubin Kazan

After securing a 1-1 draw in Russia, Barcelona may find themselves as the second place side currently in Group D, but they are in an incredible position to advance from the group.

With Copenhagen in their next two matches, Barcelona can really find themselves in a position to win the group if they can keep up their consistency against the leader in Group D.

As long as Barcelona learn from their attack woes at Rubin Kazan, no one should be able to stop them.

Copenhagen Should Be The Other Side to Advance From Group D

Who would have thought that Copenhagen would be in first place in Group D at this stage? Very few people thought so for a side that was very likely to finish last in this group.

But after a convincing win in Athens over Panathinaikos, Copenhagen are in a great position to advance from this group.

As long as they have even moderate success against Barcelona in their next two matches, they should be able to reach the Round of 16.
