Fans Make Their Picks for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022

The Doctor Chris Mueller

Welcome to the Bleacher Report pro wrestling mailbag.

The B/R community has always been outspoken, especially when it comes to opinions on pro wrestling and its biggest stars.

We will answer your questions and react to your hot takes about WWE, All Elite Wrestling and the world of pro wrestling.

This week's question: Who should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year? The answers in the comments section offered a broad range of deserving names.

Check out what the B/R community thought.

The Undertaker

Without a doubt, the most mentioned person in the comments on our crowdsourcing post was The Undertaker. In fact, so many people named him that we don't have the time to list them all.

It's easy to see why people want The Deadman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, though. He is one of the most famous and accomplished Superstars to step foot in a WWE ring.

His career speaks for itself. He has reinvented himself several times to keep his character fresh, he has produced multiple Match of the Year candidates, and he has been a part of some of the most memorable feuds in WWE history.

It's highly likely Undertaker will headline this year's Hall of Fame ceremony. If not, it will definitely happen within a year or two at the most.

WIlliam Regal

"William Regal." (@aaronwg83)

While the timing of his recent release from WWE might make for an awkward phone call for this year's ceremony, William Regal will be in the Hall of Fame someday.

Not only is the former NXT general manager one of the most technically sound wrestlers of his generation, but he has also helped influence hundreds of performers both inside and outside of the WWE Performance Center.

Any promotion that hires Regal will benefit from his wealth of knowledge and experience. He can be a booker, trainer, producer or on-screen talent, and he would thrive in every single role.

Bam Bam Bigelow

"Bam Bam Bigelow." (@dhighlight)

Yes. Please, WWE, induct Bam Bam Bigelow in the Hall of Fame immediately.

Anyone who only saw his work in WWE might not realize just how great Bam Bam was as a performer. He has work in both WCW and ECW that everyone should check out when they have a chance.

Not only was he one of the best big men of his era, but he will also always be remembered for his tattooed cranium and his flame-inspired ring attire.

If you grew up in the 1990s, it's almost a guarantee that you saw his WrestleMania XI main event against former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor. WWE trusted him to work with a non-wrestler in a match that ended up being much better than expected.

Triple H

"The Game if he's done in the ring." (@TekNk)

After Triple H's heart procedure last year, it's quite possible he has made the decision to hang up his boots for good, but that isn't something we will know until he confirms it himself.

If he does make that call, he is a first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee for sure, and that is why this year wouldn't make as much sense as one or two years from now. It feels like 2022 will be about The Undertaker going in, which means The Game will have to headline another class.

Whether you're a fan of his work or not, it's hard to deny Triple H's credentials for an induction. He has also been instrumental in the careers of many who have come through NXT, so he is more than just another performer.

With D-Generation X being inducted in 2019, WWE may want to wait a few years before he gets his solo induction. WrestleMania 40 might be the perfect opportunity to honor his career.

Quick Takes

"Earthquake." (@tabelations)

I hope this is a serious suggestion because John Tenta definitely deserves to be recognized. It's too bad they didn't put him in while he was still with us.

"Val Venis, D-Lo Brown." (@DaveXY)

D-Lo Brown could go in based solely on the beauty of his frog splash and his run as the eurocontinental champion. As for Val Venis, he seems content spreading conspiracy theories online.

"Owen Hart." (@declaredmass)

I want this, too, but it's not going to happen. WWE would do it in a heartbeat, but Martha Hart has repeatedly expressed her thoughts on this subject and is now working with All Elite Wrestling to produce a pair of tournaments to honor his legacy.

"Hurricane." (@cmurphy1990)

Only if he is inducted by The Rock. Seriously.

"Steiner brothers." (@coletooturnt)

With Bron Breakker as the new NXT champion and one of the breakout stars of NXT 2.0, it would be a slam dunk to have him induct his dad and uncle into the Hall of Fame. Of course, this all depends on the brothers' willingness to go in. I don't think Scott's relationship with WWE is on the best terms
