The investigation into the Nov. 25 death of soccer legend Diego Maradona has been expanded to include a doctor and nurse coordinator. 

Per ESPN's Adriana Garcia, Dr. Nancy Forlini and Medidom nurse Mariano Perroni have been added to the investigation being conducted by Argentine authorities "as they attempt to determine whether there was negligence in (Maradona's) treatment" after he underwent brain surgery. 

A total of seven people are now part of the wrongful death investigation being conducted by the Attorney General's Office of San Isidro. 

Neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, psychologist Carlos Diaz and nurses Ricardo Almiron and Gisela Madrid were already included in the probe. 

Garcia noted that Forlini is a doctor at the private company Swiss Medical and Perroni works for the company that was treating Maradona at the house where he died. 

Per Garcia's report, the Attorney General's Office is planning to meet with specialists March 8 "to establish whether there was malpractice from those under investigation."

Maradona was discharged from Olivos clinic in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Nov. 11, two weeks after undergoing surgery for a blood clot in his brain. Sebastian Sanchi, Maradona's spokesman, told reporters the Argentine soccer legend died as the result of a heart attack. 

The autopsy and toxicology reports released in December showed Maradona had no illegal drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.
