The New York Giants announced offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo has tested positive for COVID-19, but it hasn't altered the team's preparations for Sunday's Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed DeGuglielmo will miss the matchup with the Cowboys.

The Giants head into the final week of the regular season with a chance to earn a playoff berth despite their 5-10 record. They need a win over Dallas combined with a victory by the Philadelphia Eagles over the Washington Football Team to take the NFC East division title.

DeGuglielmo, who previously worked as the Giants' assistant offensive line coach from 2004 through 2008, rejoined the organization in November after Marc Colombo was fired.

The 52-year-old Massachusetts native has spent most of his 30-year coaching career as an offensive line coach, spanning stops at both the collegiate and pro levels. He spent 2018 with the Indianapolis Colts and 2019 with the Miami Dolphins in the same role.

He's a two-time Super Bowl champion having won titles with the Giants in 2007-08 and the New England Patriots in 2014-15.

Ben Wilkerson, the team's assistant offensive line coach, will likely handle all of DeGuglielmo's typical game-day duties against the Cowboys.

Kickoff at MetLife Stadium in the must-win game for both teams is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
