Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard is out indefinitely after having core muscle surgery, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. 

It's a big blow for Green Bay's offense. Lazard has been excellent to start the season, registering 13 catches for 254 yards and two scores. 

He was fantastic against the New Orleans Saints last week, torching them several times on deep throws:

The Packers could also be without top receiver Davante Adams, who is recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of action in Week 3, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

"I will be making sure I feel normal—like before it happened—before I step out there," Adams said of making a potential return. "So we're doing our thing to make sure that that's the case."

He did add that he was close to playing last week and "felt good, but I wanted to be as smart as possible so we decided to hold off on that."

If he's out again, that leaves them with Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Malik Taylor and Darrius Shepherd at wide receiver against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, with Equanimeous St. Brown also unavailable and on injured reserve.

Green Bay's perceived lack of weapons at wide receiver was a major talking point heading into the season, but the trio of Adams (17 receptions for 192 yards and two scores), Lazard and Valdes-Scantling (eight receptions for 165 yards and a score) quieted that with strong play in the first three weeks.

But that conversation may be reignited given some of the depth issues at the position the team could be facing. Neither Taylor or Shepherd has caught a pass this season. Running back Aaron Jones and tight end Robert Tonyan could be very busy vs. Atlanta.
