Carl Nassib is moving on from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reportedly landing with the Las Vegas Raiders.
According to Jerry McDonald of the Bay Area News Group, the defensive end came to an agreement with Vegas on Tuesday.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the contract is for three years and worth $25 million.
Nassib, 26, recorded 34 tackles, six sacks and one forced fumble with the Bucs in 2019. He'll be with his third team in four years after the Cleveland Browns drafted him 65th overall in 2016.
Terms of the deal were not available.
With Nassib playing 56 percent of the Bucs' defensive snaps last season, according to Pro Football Reference, Tampa Bay allowed 343.9 yards and 28.1 points per game. That's on par with where the Raiders finished (354.8 yards, 26.2 points).
Nassib has played only as much as 60 percent of his team's snaps—when he played his lone full season for the 2017 Cleveland Browns, just the second team to go 0-16. Nassib was cut by the Browns in September 2018.
He has certainly bounced back from that disastrous season.
Tampa Bay claimed him off waivers, and he developed into a solid weapon. In 2018, Nassib posted 6.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss and 14 quarterback hits. He finished with six sacks, eight tackles for loss and 11 quarterback hits last year.
Now he'll look to expand on those marks in Las Vegas, where the Raiders will play the first season in their new home, looking to catch the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West.
The Penn State product will turn 27 in April and still has plenty of time to make a mark on the league. In Las Vegas, he'll team up with fellow reported free-agent signees Jason Witten, Marcus Mariota, Nick Kwiatkoski and Cory Littleton.
