The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is the final big event before the Superstars of WWE head to Tampa, Florida, for WrestleMania 36 on April 5.

Here is a rundown of the card from Sunday's show:

• SmackDown tag team Elimination Chamber match with The Usos, New Day, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, and The Miz and John Morrison
• Women's Elimination Chamber match with Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Asuka, Natalya and Shayna Baszler (No. 1 Contender's match)
• Braun Strowman vs. Cesaro, Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura (Intercontinental title)
• Aleister Black vs. AJ Styles (No Disqualification match)
• The Street Profits vs. Seth Rollins and Murphy (Raw tag titles)
• Andrade vs. Humberto Carrillo (United States title)
• Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak

Let's look at each match to see how WWE did Sunday.

The Viking Raiders vs. Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins

The Elimination Chamber Kickoff opened with The Viking Raiders taking on Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder.

Erik and Ivar dominated the early portion of the match, with Hawkins and Ryder getting in some offense during the middle third. After a hot tag, Ivar went on a rampage to turn things back in his team's favor.

Ryder accidentally hit his finisher on Hawkins to give the Raiders an opportunity to hit the Viking Experience for the pin and the win.

Grade: C

Analysis

The Viking Raiders had their title reign cut short in favor of the storyline with Seth Rollins, and the team of Hawkins and Ryder has barely been on television recently, so this combo came out of nowhere.

The crowd was more behind Erik and Ivar, but since both teams are made up of babyfaces, it didn't overwhelmingly cheer for one team over the other.

This was a pretty standard opening bout. There was no storyline, but the wrestling was decent. It got the crowd in the right mindset for the rest of the evening.

Daniel Bryan vs. Drew Gulak

When the PPV went live after the Kickoff, Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak came out to get things going in a feud that has developed on Raw over the past few weeks.

The crowd was firmly behind The Yes Man as they locked up. Gulak scored the first takedown with a fireman’s carry that seemed to catch Bryan a bit off-guard.

They kept their exchanges technical early on, but it eventually devolved into a battle of kicks. Gulak seemed to have Bryan's number and forced him to regroup outside the ring for a moment.

The former WWE champion had short bursts of offense, but his opponent kept him on the defensive for most of the match. 

The crowd erupted when Bryan began to make a comeback. He reversed the Gulock and applied the Yes Lock for the submission victory. 

Grade: A

Analysis

These are two of the best technicians in WWE today, and this was exactly the kind of fight you would expect them to have. They focused on their mat game and submissions more than strikes, especially early on. 

Gulak using the surfboard Bryan has utilized so many times was a nice touch and a good way to show how similar these two Superstars are.

Bryan played the part of a man who underestimated his opponent perfectly as Gulak controlled the majority of the action. It was a bit of a role reversal for the man who has spent most of his career as the underdog.

They steadily picked up the pace as time progressed and the crowd loved every minute of it. Let's hope this is the first of many encounters between these two. 

Andrade vs. Humberto Carrillo (U.S. Title)

WWE kept the good times rolling after Bryan vs. Gulak by jumping right into the United States title bout between Andrade and Humberto Carrillo.

El Idolo exploded out of the gate with a spinning elbow to score a two-count within seconds of the opening bell. The champion was out to hurt his opponent after that.

Carrillo began to make a comeback, but Andrade kept the upper hand with a stiff running kick to the face. 

Carrillo almost won with a beautiful super hurricanrana as the crowd chanted "This is awesome." El Idolo tried to spike his rival's head into the concrete again but was unsuccessful this time.

After they traded pinning combinations, Andrade stole the win with a handful of tights.

Grade: A

Analysis

It was nice to see both Superstars keep a lot of their offense grounded during the early part of this match. It's easy to forget how technically proficient they are when they spend so much time in the air.

The cocky champion showed why he holds the gold by directing traffic most of the time, but he always made sure to take time to pose for the crowd. 

It almost seems impossible for Andrade and Carrillo to have a bad match. Every encounter has been better than the last and this was no exception.

This feud is nowhere near over and it wouldn't be surprising to see them in a match at WrestleMania 36, possibly with Angel Garza and Rey Mysterio to make it a Fatal 4-Way. 

SmackDown Tag Title Elimination Chamber

Elimination Chamber matches are long and chaotic, especially when they involve tag teams.

Instead of giving a brief recap of the action, we will look at the order of entry and elimination before going into the analysis.

Order of Entry

• The Usos and The New Day started
• Lucha House Party
• The Miz and John Morrison
• Heavy Machinery
• Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler

Order of Elimination

• Heavy Machinery eliminated Lucha House Party
• Roode and Ziggler eliminated Heavy Machinery
• The Usos eliminated Roode and Ziggler
• The Miz and Morrison eliminated The New Day
• The Miz and Morrison pinned The Usos to retain the titles

Grade: A-

Analysis

It was smart to start with The New Day and The Usos since they have so much shared history. They started off hot and never slowed down. 

The pressure seemed to get to a few Superstars when some of their high-flying spots almost ended in botches, but they usually managed to salvage them.

The more people you add to a match, the harder it is to keep track of everything. Even when it got up to 10 Superstars in the chamber at once, they did a great job making sure we could follow the action. 

Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik were especially impressive in this contest, and it would not be surprising to see Lucha House Party get a renewed push after this event. Otis and Tucker also had standout moments.

This won't go down as the best Chamber match in history, but it had a lot of fun moments and told multiple stories at the same time. It kept the momentum going for what was already a great show. 

Aleister Black vs. AJ Styles

AJ Styles gave an interview earlier in the evening and made it clear his O.C. brethren would be at ringside to support him, so Aleister Black was at an immediate disadvantage.

They spent a long time sizing each other up before doing more than a quick takedown. The Dutch Destroyer was the first to turn up the heat with a flurry of precise kicks.

However, The Phenomenal One was the first to take advantage of the stipulation by bringing a kendo stick into the ring. He focused on his opponent's leg in an attempt to prevent him from using Black Mass.

They traded control several times over the course of the match. Styles took a moment to mock The Undertaker by teasing a Tombstone, but Black countered and sent him into a steel chair that was wedged in the corner. 

The Dutch Destroyer put Styles through a table with a meteora before all three members of The O.C. beat him down. That's when the familiar sound of The Undertaker's music hit, and he appeared in the ring to deliver a chokeslam to The Phenomenal One. 

Black finished his opponent off with a brutal Black Mass to get what might be the biggest victory of his WWE career to date. 

Grade: B+

Analysis

Making Black vs. Styles a No Disqualification match made it obvious Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson would be involved from the start.

It would have been nice if Black and Styles could have had this match without any outside interference but The O.C. is a package deal at this point. If you get one, you get all three. Thankfully, they kept their involvement limited so the two opponents in the ring were the main focus.

This was a physical encounter that the crowd never seemed to enjoy as much as it should have. Black and Styles worked well together and Taker's involvement was a nice surprise.

The Deadman and Styles appear to be heading toward a match at WrestleMania, but for now, Black picked up a big win to give him some momentum. 

The Street Profits vs. Murphy and Seth Rollins (Raw Tag Titles)

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins had their first PPV title defense on Sunday against the two men they beat for the belts, Murphy and Seth Rollins. As expected, AOP was not far behind.

The Street Profits took control early but once Rollins got the tag, the momentum shifted to the challengers. They slowed the pace down and tried to take the legs out from under Dawkins.

The Viking Raiders arrived and brawled with AOP out of the arena to make this a fair fight. This allowed the champions to regain the upper hand.

After several close calls on both sides, Kevin Owens made his way through the crowd with a box of popcorn. His distraction allowed The Street Profits to take out Murphy and retain their titles. 

Grade: B-

Analysis

The Street Profits came out to a raucous ovation to defend their Raw tag team titles against Rollins and Murphy. The PPV had been great up to this point, so these four men had pressure on them to keep the momentum going. 

When a show has several great matches in a row, the crowd is bound to get tired at some point. Unfortunately, this seemed to be when everyone in the arena showed their fatigue. They cheered for the big moments but there wasn't a ton of noise.

This was a solid performance from four capable wrestlers, but it had to follow four hard-hitting bouts, so it almost had too much to live up to. 

Braun Strowman vs. Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn (IC Title)

WWE was never clear enough on whether Shinsuke Nakamura would hold the title no matter who beat Braun Strowman or if whoever won walked out as the intercontinental champion. 

The heels used quick tags to stay fresh and keep The Monster Among Men off balance. Strowman kept coming back and Sami Zayn's stable kept taking him back down.

After a few spots involving the steps and the ring post, Zayn ended up pinning Strowman to become the new IC titleholder. 

Grade: C+

Analysis

Handicap matches can be tricky, especially when the bigger team has to tag in and out instead of attacking at once. Even with the numbers against him, though, Strowman never feels like the underdog.

Zayn is as entertaining as they come but even he couldn't help this from being one of the weaker matches of the night. It wasn't his fault, though: This was an above-average PPV for the most part. 

They did about as well as one could ask in a situation like this. Strowman retaining seemed the obvious outcome so it was nice to be surprised when Zayn scored the win. 

Women's Elimination Chamber

• Baszler eliminated Logan
• Baszler eliminated Riott
• Baszler eliminated Natalya

Grade: B- 

Analysis

Logan was an early standout in this match with her vocal taunting, a diving crossbody from the top of Morgan's pod and a tower of doom with Natalya and Riott. 

As soon as Baszler was released from her pod, though, she dominated every competitor and eliminated all three women in the ring before Asuka and Morgan were even in the match.

This was the less exciting of the two chamber matches, but WWE instantly made The Queen of Spades a top star in her division with this bout. She was brutal in everything she did, and the crowd gave her tons of heat for it.

If the goal was to make Baszler look like the most dangerous person in the company, WWE more than accomplished what it set out to do. 

The final showdown between Asuka and the former NXT women's champion helped end the match on a high note.
