WrestleMania 37 will be held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on March 28, 2021, WWE announced Monday.

Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times first reported the news.

The stadium is set to open in July before hosting both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers for the 2020 NFL season.

Despite still being completed, the $5 billion venue has already secured some of the biggest events in sports over the next decade.

In addition to WrestleMania, Los Angeles will also host the Super Bowl in 2022, the College Football Playoff national championship game in 2023 and the Olympics in 2028.

WWE's WrestleMania event will see Friday Night SmackDown, NXT TakeOver and Monday Night Raw held at the Staples Center before and after the pay-per-view.

"Our pitch on all of our events from the Super Bowl to WrestleMania is having a two-hub hosting area with Inglewood and downtown, and we'll see that for the first time at WrestleMania," said Kathy Schloessman, president of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission.

SoFi Stadium also gives WWE a chance to boost the attendance while continuing the trend of hosting the annual event at football stadiums since 2007.

The largest attendance at WrestleMania ever came in 2016 when over 101,000 fans packed AT&T Stadium in Dallas. While the Los Angeles stadium is expected to host 70,000 for football games, Markazi reported officials will consider expanding the seating capacity to 100,000 for the anticipated event.
