The Washington Wizards are expected to offer Bradley Beal a three-year, $111 million extension Friday, a maximum offer on the first allowable day to extend, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Beal will have until Oct. 21 to sign the deal, although he will likely wait to make a decision.  

"We haven't even gone there yet," Beal's agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Monday, per Candace Buckner of the Washington Post. "There hasn't been a decision to make as of yet. When we get there, we'll actually start thinking about it more seriously."

Beal currently has two years and about $56 million remaining on his current deal, so he might not necessarily be in a rush to commit to the Wizards for the long-term. A disappointing 32-50 season could also cause him to second-guess the franchise's future.

"There are moments in a career where there are big decisions to make, and Brad will work through everything and figure out the right thing to do," Bartelstein said, per Wojnarowski. "There are nothing but great feelings for Ted [Leonsis], Tommy [Sheppard] and Scott [Brooks]. They've treated Brad wonderfully."

In addition to offering the max deal, the Wizards would also be interested in a one- or two-year extension to keep Beal on the roster.

The 26-year-old is coming off his best season from an individual perspective, averaging 25.6 points, 5.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds, all of which were career highs. He earned his second straight All-Star selection while effectively moving out of John Wall's shadow.

His skill set and the Wizards' struggles have made him a prime trade target this offseason, although the team has reportedly rejected all trade discussions to this point, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Washington plans to do whatever it can to build around the shooting guard.

"We need to show him that we are about building this the right way, that we aren't going to have character-deficient guys around him," general manager Tommy Sheppard said. "We are going to surround him with guys he wants to play with."

Even if Beal rejects the three-year extension this summer, the Wizards will remain focused on keeping him.
