Golden State Warriors guard/forward Andre Iguodala told reporters at a Saturday practice that his career is winding down.

"My career is almost over... I'm about to be done playing anyway," Iguodala said.

Iguodala, who is recovering from left calf tightness suffered during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, provided a health update on his status before delivering remarks on his career timeline.

When asked when he thought he would retire, Iguodala said "soon" before saying that he was open to another one-year deal.

Iguodala has nothing left to prove after a long and successful 15-year career that includes three (and potentially four) NBA championships, the 2014-15 NBA Finals MVP award, two All-Defensive team nods and an All-Star game appearance.

The former Arizona Wildcat has averaged 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game lifetime.

Before his Warriors tenure began in 2013, Iguodala played for the Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets. Iguodala did everything for the 76ers, averaging 18.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.8 steals in 39.6 minutes per game from 2006-07 to 2009-10. He spent one year in Denver before heading to Golden State.

The 35-year-old has been an invaluable member of the Warriors during their dynasty, routinely filling in for the team's injured starters at guard or forward. 

That's largely because of his defensive excellence and versatility, which has been a calling card throughout his career.

Per ESPN.com, he still finished third among 116 qualified shooting guards in defensive real plus-minus this season despite being 15 regular seasons and 139 playoff games into his career. He finished fifth in 2016-17 and fourth in 2017-18.

Although Iguodala's NBA playing career is reaching its conclusion, he's not done yet.

Iguodala should be ready for Game 1 of the NBA Finals, which begins Thursday at 9 p.m. The Warriors will face either the Toronto Raptors or Milwaukee Bucks.
