NFL cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has reportedly retired, according to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online.

Jones, 35, was drafted No. 6 overall by the Tennessee Titans in 2005 and played 12 seasons in the NFL, registering 522 tackles, 17 interceptions, seven forced fumbles, 12 fumble recoveries and three sacks. He also had two defensive touchdowns. 

He notably missed the 2007 season due to a suspension and was out of the league in 2009.

In 2018, Jones appeared in seven games for the Denver Broncos, notching nine tackles and an interception. The team released him in November.

At his peak, Jones was an excellent cornerback and dangerous return man who earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2014 and was a Pro Bowler in 2015. But issues off the field were a consistent theme.

After two seasons with the Tennessee Titans, Jones was suspended for the entirety of the 2007 season for numerous violations of the league's personal conduct policy. 

He was traded to the Dallas Cowboys but was suspended again for six games in 2008 after an altercation with a bodyguard. The Cowboys released him in Jan. 2009, and he didn't play in the 2009 season.

The Bengals signed him ahead of the 2010 season to play in Cincinnati, where he spent the next eight years of his career, played his best football and largely stayed out of legal trouble. 

However, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of obstructing official business during a 2017 altercation at a Cincinnati hotel and was suspended for the opening game of the 2018 season by the NFL.

In February, Jones was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, intimidation and resisting arrest at the Rising Sun Casino in Indiana. He eventually accepted a plea agreement in March for two cases from that arrest.
