Former WWE Raw women's champion Ronda Rousey is scheduled to undergo surgery on her broken hand next week.

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, Rousey will have the procedure done on Tuesday, and WWE officials are hopeful she can return either later this year or in early 2020.

Even though WWE officials remain hopeful regarding Rousey's return, Sapp noted she has given them "no clear indication of her next move."

Rousey originally broke her hand during the WrestleMania 35 main event against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t WrestlingInc.com's Marc Middleton).

Meltzer also noted Rousey had been scheduled to take time off from WWE after WrestleMania even before her injury.

Even though Rousey's return date is uncertain, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reported the former UFC women's bantamweight champion is tentatively scheduled to face Lynch at next year's WrestleMania.

Rousey made her official WWE debut at the 2018 Royal Rumble and had her first match at WrestleMania 34. She was undefeated in singles competition for the first year of her wrestling career before being pinned by Lynch in the winner-take-all WrestleMania match on April 7.
