Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Sees Paul Pogba Playing for Manchester United Next Season

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expects to see Paul Pogba at Old Trafford next season amid reported interest from Real Madrid

Solskjaer spoke ahead of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash with Barcelona.

Per Charlotte Duncker and Richard Fay of the Manchester Evening News, he said: "Paul is looking forward to tomorrow. He is only focused on playing well tomorrow, I cannot see him not playing for Manchester United next season."

Marca (h/t Frank Smith for Sky Sports) reported Real are targeting Pogba alongside Chelsea's Eden Hazard this summer.

Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been complimentary of the midfielder since his return to the dugout in March, while Pogba raised eyebrows when he described Los Blancos as a "dream" during the international break.

Whatever happens this summer, in the meantime, Solskjaer is hoping he can make the difference against Barcelona, per the Press Association's Simon Peach:

The Frenchman has contributed nine goals and seven assists since the Norwegian took charge.

However, as football writer Liam Canning observed during United's 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month, his form has dropped off recently:

If the Red Devils are to have any significant chance of getting past Barcelona in the quarter-final, they'll need Pogba back at his match-winning best.

What's more, if Real hope to prise him away from Old Trafford this summer, they'll be taking a keen interest in how he fares against their bitter rivals.
