Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is very happy to see Odell Beckham Jr. out of the NFC East. 

When asked his thoughts about the New York Giants trading the superstar receiver to the Cleveland Browns this offseason during an appearance on Fox Sports' Premier Boxing Champions broadcast, Jones responded by saying, simply, "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

The Giants shockingly traded Beckham to the Browns for safety Jabrill Peppers and first- and third-round picks, moving on from one of the most dynamic offensive weapons in football. While Browns fans rejoiced, Giants general manager Dave Gettleman was second-guessed following the deal:

It wasn't the first move from Gettleman that stirred debate. His decision to draft Saquon Barkley No. 2 overall last year rather than address the quarterback position by selecting Sam Darnold was called into question, though Barkley did have a superb offseason. Still, Eli Manning's poor play in 2018 made it abundantly clear that the Giants need to find a franchise quarterback for the future.

Then there was the decision to let Landon Collins walk in free agency without using the franchise tag to attempt to keep him for another season. While the addition of Peppers somewhat mitigates that loss, it came at the expense of losing a truly elite player in Beckham.

Beckham, 26, is a three-time Pro Bowler and has posted over 1,000 receiving yards in four of his five seasons, only missing the mark in 2017 after injury cost him all but four games. There's little doubt he's an elite receiver, and he'll make the Browns truly scary in 2019.

That makes him the AFC North's problem. Jones and the rest of the NFC East are happy to see him go.
