Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. took to Instagram on Thursday to thank the New York Giants organization and its fans after his trade to the Cleveland Browns.

OBJ wrote the following about his time with the G-Men:

"So many mixed emotions and feelings. This is all, a lot to process but it is reality. I don't kno exactly what to say so just gotta keep it real and short. I want to thank the NY giants organization for giving me an opportunity to do what God put me on this earth to do , I want to thank the organization and the owners for everything and especially giving me my first chance to be a part of the NFL. I want thank everyone in that building from the kitchen staff to my main man Jośe! I loved you guys dearly and always will. I gave u my all every Sunday. To the fans, some happy , some not, I just wanna thank u guys for making my experience in NY SOMETHIN ILL NEVER FORGET! To the New Yorkers and REAL NYG fans... you guys will always have a place in my heart, a beautiful city .. a beautiful place Thank You for every last moment and experience. Without them, I wouldn't be exactly who I am today ! LUV."

The Giants traded Beckham to Cleveland this week in exchange for safety Jabrill Peppers, the No. 17 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft and the No. 95 overall pick in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft.

Beckham also thanked Kimberly Jones, who has covered him extensively throughout his career for NFL Network and WFAN:

New York selected Beckham with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft out of LSU, and he instantly developed into one of the NFL's top wideouts.

In each of his first three seasons, Beckham finished with at least 90 receptions, 1,300 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He was also named a Pro Bowler in all three of those campaigns.

Beckham's 2017 season was cut short to just four games due to injury, but he bounced back in 2018 by registering 77 grabs for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns in only 12 games.

OBJ was by far the biggest weapon on New York's offense for most of his tenure, although it can be argued that he was usurped by running back Saquon Barkley in that regard last season.

For as productive as Beckham was in New York, he was also a headache at times. With multiple sideline blowups, his role in an ill-advised boat trip prior to the playoffs during the 2016 season and an interview with ESPN last season that featured him criticizing the Giants, he often made headlines for his antics as much as his play.

With Beckham out of the picture, though, the Giants have some huge question marks in the passing game. Sterling Shepard and Corey Coleman are penciled in as New York's top two wideouts with Evan Engram at tight end.

The Giants do own the Nos. 6 and 17 overall picks in the 2019 NFL draft, so they could use at least one of those picks to address their weakness by taking a receiver like D.K. Metcalf out of Ole Miss.

New York is a combined 8-24 over the past two seasons after going 11-5 in 2016, and trading away Beckham is a sign that the Giants may be entering rebuild mode.

As for Beckham, he will join a Browns team that is very much on the rise. Cleveland went 7-8-1 last season after winning one game in the previous two seasons combined.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield is leading the way on offense with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in the backfield and Beckham joining former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry at wide receiver. With OBJ in the fold, the Browns figure to be a trendy pick to reach the playoffs next season, which would mark their first postseason berth since 2002.
