Even though C.J. Anderson is focused on helping the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl on Sunday, the veteran running back looked back at his brief stint with the Oakland Raiders. 

Per Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Anderson was complimentary of Raiders head coach Jon Gruden. 

"Gruden's doing the right things over there," Anderson said Tuesday. 

Anderson spent six days with the Raiders this season. He signed with the team on Dec. 5 before being waived on Dec. 11 without appearing in a game. 

Even though Gruden's return to the Raiders resulted in a 4-12 record in 2018, Anderson highlighted his preparation and ability to discern what opposing defenses will do. 

“But the preparation, how Jon sees the game, how coach Gruden dissects the game and dissects defenses was very, very interesting," Anderson said. "I learned a lot from during that time period of being there. That’s why they came up with that (win) against the Steelers when I was there.”

Anderson also noted he believes Gruden has a plan that nobody knows right now "except him and probably (general manager) Mike Mayock."

Gruden does have three first-round picks in April's draft to work with, including the No. 4 overall choice. 

Meanwhile, Anderson hit the jackpot after being waived by the Raiders. He's run for 466 yards and four touchdowns in four games (including the playoffs) since signing with the Rams on Dec. 18.
