UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will reportedly have the opportunity to join an exclusive list of UFC fighters and become a dual-weight-class champion.

According to Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com, Dillashaw will challenge flyweight champion Henry Cejudo at UFC 233 in Anaheim, California, on Jan. 26 in a 125-pound title fight. That means Dillashaw will move down in weight for the bout.

Okamoto noted Randy Couture, BJ Penn, Conor McGregor, Georges St-Pierre and Daniel Cormier are the only five men who have won championships at two weight classes in UFC history.

This will not be an easy fight for Dillashaw, as Cejudo sports a 13-2 record and is riding a three-bout winning streak since a December 2016 loss to Joseph Benavidez. He defeated Wilson Reis in September 2017 and Sergio Pettis in December of last year before a head-turning performance in August against Demetrious Johnson.

He earned a split-decision win over Johnson at UFC 227, and Okamoto noted it snapped Johnson's streak of 11 straight title defenses.

Dillashaw counters Cejudo with a 17-3 record and has won four in a row since a January 2016 loss to Dominick Cruz.

Okamoto pointed out Dillashaw has pushed for the opportunity to test his skills at bantamweight, and he will have the chance to do just that and make some history in the process.
