One month after David Tepper officially became owner of the Carolina Panthers, he has reportedly found the team's next president.

ESPN's Jeff Darlington reported Friday that Manchester City Football Club chief commercial officer Tom Glick will take over as president of the Panthers. 

Back in July, Tepper explained what he was looking for in a team president, via the Panthers (around 13:11 mark):

"Obviously, experience running a sports team is No. 1, and the different types of experience like that, and also the obvious business things like marketing, development experience. ... I want them to be able to build a good team here and also understand the philosophy...of openness and a team environment that's a family. We're a family here and I want to make sure people here understand that. That family includes the football side and includes the business side. That's the way I run my other business. ... The family is protected and the family feels safe in here. ... I'm going to look for somebody who makes sure they have that vision."

According to the City Football Group website, Glick has spent more than two decades working in sports. He has held roles in both the United States and the United Kingdom, in sports including baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer.

Glick has spent time in Minor League Baseball, the National Basketball Association and Major League Soccer. He then moved on to the UK to serve as the chief executive officer for Derby County Football Club. He joined City Football Group in 2012.

He was named the group commercial officer and managing director of City Football marketing in June 2016.
