Before Justify's quest for the Triple Crown takes over Pimlico Race Course on Saturday, the fillies take center stage for the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes on Friday. 

The 1 ⅛-mile race takes place at 4:50 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon on NBCSN near the end of a busy day of racing. 

Of the 10 horses competing in Friday's race, one of them took part in the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs two weeks ago. 

Coach Rocks, who is the lone horse to enter the Kentucky Oaks and Black-Eyed Susan Stakes, should be at the forefront of Friday's race, as will a few others with impressive track records.

After finishing seventh in the Kentucky Oaks, Coach Rocks is looking to bounce back with a win Friday at Pimlico Race Course. 

Although she failed to perform well at Churchill Downs, Coach Rocks proved her worth at the end of March, when she won the Gulfstream Oaks. 

Coach Rocks begins the race from favorable post No. 3, which allows her to work the inside of the track from the beginning of the race. 

Midnight Disguise, who starts from the position directly to the left of Coach Rocks, could be at the forefront of the competition as well, as she has four victories in her racing career. 

Red Ruby is another filly to keep an eye on, but she doesn't have the wealth of experience as the two horses mentioned above. 

The horse starting from the No. 4 post has three races to her name, but she's been successful with two wins. 

Since three of the better horses are clumped together on the inside starting posts, the race could come down to the head-to-head showdown between Coach Rocks, Midnight Disguise and Red Ruby. 

Sara Street will attempt to surprise the favored horses from the outside, as she begins the race from post No. 9. 

If you're attempting to pick the winner of the race, don't be taken back by Sara Street's lack of victories, as she holds a pair of second-place finishes. 

If you like to use pedigree when determining your horse racing picks, Sara Street has plenty of that, as 2007 Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense is her sire. 

Trainer Dale L. Romans, who won the 2015 and 2016 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes with Keen Pauline and Go Maggie Go, has a pair of entries in the 10-horse field. 

Coach Rocks will have jockey Luis Saez, who won the 2016 race with Go Maggie Go, aboard her, while C.S. Incharge enters with a little less fanfare. 

Although C.S. Incharge might not receive the most attention entering Friday's race, she could end up as a surprise winner if she breaks out while trying to set the pace for Coach Rocks.
