Jamie McMurray was uninjured in a crash during Friday's practice session at Talladega Superspeedway in which his car flipped seven times and collided with the wall.

NASCAR tweeted out video of the incident, adding McMurray was able to walk away from the crash under his own power:

After getting off the track, McMurray noted he was grateful no other cars were around to make contact with him after blowing his left rear tire.

"It just wouldn't stop," McMurray said, via ESPN.com's Bob Pockrass. "As it started rolling, the impacts weren't that bad and I'm just like I want it to stop rolling. I'm just thankful that no one else hit me while you're upside-down or when you come to a stop.

The cars of Ryan Newman, Ty Dillon and Daniel Suarez were also damaged in the accident, with Pockrass noting they will have to use backup cars and, along with McMurray, start from the back of the field for Sunday's Geico 500.

In nine starts this season, McMurray has finished in the top five once. He ranks 24th in the standings with 158 points.
