Cameron Jordan on Unsigned Colin Kaepernick: 'There's QBs Less Talented Playing'

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan offered some words of support for free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick on Monday.

As seen in the following video from TMZ Sports, Jordan believes Kaepernick deserves an NFL roster spot:

On Kaepernick remaining on the free-agent market, Jordan said, "There's quarterbacks less talented playing."

Kaepernick went unsigned last season after he knelt during the national anthem throughout the 2016 campaign to protest racial injustice and police brutality.

While Kaepernick recently had a visit scheduled with the Seattle Seahawks, it was postponed due to his refusal to assure the team that he won't kneel in 2018, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

When asked if Kaepernick should stop protesting in order to land an NFL job, Jordan supported Kap's freedom of speech and expression.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Monday that signing Kaepernick remains a possibility, per Martin Rogers of USA Today.

The 30-year-old signal-caller has a career 28-30 record as a starter.

He went just 1-10 for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, but he put up solid numbers: 2,241 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions to go along with 468 rushing yards and two scores.

Kaepernick notably helped lead the Niners to the NFC Championship Game twice, and in 2012 he took them all the way to Super Bowl XLVII, where they lost to the Baltimore Ravens 34-31.

During his six-year NFL career, Kaepernick has 72 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions, as well as 13 rushing touchdowns.
