Jaguars Unveil Updated Uniforms for 2018-19 Season

Mike Chiari

The Jacksonville Jaguars unveiled their new uniforms for the 2018 season Thursday on Twitter:

Several different combinations were modeled, including all-black, all-teal, all-white and black pants with both teal and white jerseys.

On their official website, the Jaguars heralded the changes as the "return of tradition."

Among the biggest changes is the incorporation of more teal into their uniforms. When the Jags entered the NFL in 1995, their primary jerseys were teal.

The new teal jerseys more closely resemble the color Jacksonville wore during the early years of its existence.

Also, the Jaguars got rid of the gold backing on their helmets and returned to an all-black look.

The changes correspond with a reversal in fortunes for the franchise, as it returned to the playoffs last season for the first time since 2007 and reached the AFC Championship Game.
