Michigan Wolverines linebacker Elysee Mbem-Bosse sent a string of threatening tweets between Saturday and Monday and tagged head coach Jim Harbaugh in the thread, according to Nick Martin of Deadspin.

Aaron McCann of MLive.com reported Ann Arbor Police are investigating.

In one of the since-deleted tweets, Mbem-Bosse posted, "Michigan is open carry. Let's not forget. Not your friend." In another, he wrote, "They sent someone to my crib before. I was nice enough to call the cops next time I'm calling the morgue. I'm talking with facts."

Another tweet read, "Within hours of my family crisis. F--K YOU. GN. It's on tomorrow." And a fourth said, "And was suspended for going to take care of my family. You f--king [clown]."

One of the deleted tweets appeared to show a text message indicating that Mbem-Bosse was being suspended:

It's unclear what incident or set of incidents caused Mbem-Bosse's rant. According to Touch the Banner, his scholarship was removed for the 2018 season. He also wasn't listed on the team's spring roster.

Mbem-Bosse has registered one tackle for the Wolverines in his collegiate career. He earned two varsity letters with the school between 2016-17, contributing on defense and special teams.
