Rusev vs. Undertaker at WWE Greatest Royal Rumble Back on After Lana Changes Mind

Joseph Zucker

Rusev's casket match with The Undertaker at the Greatest Royal Rumble is back on, WWE announced Monday.

The Bulgarian Brute was originally slated to take on The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia on April 27, but Chris Jericho replaced him after his wife, Lana, raised some objections. She subsequently relented, opening the door for Rusev to challenge The Deadman:

Rusev reacted to Monday's announcement on Twitter:

Rusev vs. The Undertaker joins what is a loaded card. Seven different championships are on the line at the Greatest Royal Rumble, John Cena is wrestling Triple H and the headlining match is a 50-man Battle Royal that includes Daniel Bryan and Kurt Angle.

Rusev will clearly be an underdog against The Undertaker, especially in a match made famous by the seven-time world champion. He alluded to his long odds last week:

Still, wrestling The Undertaker in a singles match should be considered a big honor at this stage of Rusev's career. Even in a losing effort, he can come out of the Greatest Royal Rumble looking stronger.

Granted, getting locked in a casket would be a bad way to celebrate Rusev Day.
