Houston Astros Reveal 2017 World Series Championship Rings

The Houston Astros received their 2017 World Series rings before Tuesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles at Minute Maid Park.

The top of the new bling features 112 diamonds, which accounts for the team's 101 regular-season wins plus its 11 postseason victories. It also features blue and orange sapphires as a reminder that the Astros are the only team in Major League history to win National League and American League pennants.

The back of the ring, meanwhile, features the series scores and opponents the Astros defeated en route to the franchise's first World Series title, as the Houston Chronicle's Brian T. Smith noted:

Finally, the jewelry is emblazoned with the phrases "Earned History" and "Houston Strong" and features a depiction of Minute Maid Park's iconic left field wall below the Houston city skyline.

With one ring in tow, the Astros will now set their sights on becoming the first team since the 1999-2000 New York Yankees to repeat as world champions.
