Dexter Fowler Snaps 0-14 Slump After Tweet Repeating 'I Will Get a Hit' 13 Times

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler had a tough start to the 2018 MLB season, failing to get a hit in his first three games (totaling 13 at-bats). So before Monday's 8-4 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, he did his best Bart Simpson impersonation on Twitter:

And it worked. After flying out in his first at-bat, Fowler ended his 0-for-14 slump with a third-inning single.

After Fowler broke his streak, Cleveland's Jose Ramirez (0-for-12) and Houston's Josh Reddick (0-for-7) took a similar tactic: 

And Fowler's team took it one step further:

Hey, you can't blame them for trying.
