AP College Basketball Poll 2017: Complete Week 7 Rankings Released

The nation's No. 1 and No. 2 teams remain the same. However, it's newly crowned No. 3 Arizona State that's making the most noise around the country.

The Sun Devils leapfrogged Duke and sit behind only Villanova and Michigan State in the latest Associated Press poll. At 10-0, ASU is off to the best start in school history. No. 4 Duke and No. 5 North Carolina round out the Top Five thanks to a Wichita State slide.

Arizona State has reeled off 10 straight victories to begin the regular season, including a comeback win over Vanderbilt on Sunday. The Commodores opened the game on a 13-0 run and looked poised for an upset before Bobby Hurley's team found themselves on both ends of the floor. The Devils led by as many as 20 points in the second half.

Wichita State, ranked third a week ago, dropped back eight spots to No. 11 following a 91-83 loss to Oklahoma. The Sooners scored 54 points as part of a huge first half and held on amid a comeback attempt by Wichita State in the second half.

"We let them get comfortable in the first half, and you can't do that against a team that talented and that well-coached," Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall told reporters.

Oklahoma went from being unranked all the way to No. 17 with the win. The Sooners should be able to move to 10-1 when they host Northwestern State and Northwestern this week.

On the opposite side, Seton Hall dropped eight spots to No. 23 following a 71-65 loss to Rutgers. The Pirates turned the ball over 18 times and lost despite holding Rutgers to 34.3 percent shooting on their home floor.

Florida State suffered its first loss of the season in a 71-70 nailbiter against Oklahoma State. Mitchell Solomon tipped a ball in with six seconds remaining to give the Cowboys the lead, and CJ Walker turned the ball over on Florida State's final possession. The Seminoles moved back five spots to No. 24.

Notre Dame and Florida exited the polls following disappointing weeks. The Irish fell in an overtime thriller to Indiana in the Crossroads Classic on Saturday, while the Gators now sit a disappointing 6-4 following their 71-69 loss to Clemson.

Oklahoma and No. 25 Creighton are the two new entries.
