Missouri Tigers forward Michael Porter Jr. suffered a hip injury during Friday's contest against the Iowa State Cyclones.
According to Myron Medcalf of ESPN.com, Porter played just two minutes in the first half of the 74-59 win and iced his hip on the bench.
If there's one player Missouri can ill afford to lose, it's Porter Jr., who has operated as the centerpiece of head coach Cuonzo Martin's attack since he decommitted from the University of Washington.
He is expected to lead the way offensively for a Tigers team dreaming of its first NCAA tournament berth since 2013.
Needless to say, losing that kind of presence would hamper Missouri significantly.
So long as Porter Jr. is banged up, the onus will be on Kassius Robertson, Jordan Barnett and Jontay Porter to pick up the slack and keep the Tigers afloat on both ends of the floor.
