Pandora Offers 'Cheap' LeBron James Premium Account Without Commercials

Andrew Gould

It appears LeBron James no longer has to listen to commercials on Pandora.

In an interview with James and reunited teammate Dwyane Wade, ESPN's Rachel Nichols asked about Wade's assertion that LeBron is the NBA's cheapest player. James confessed that this claim is "falsely true," saying he won't turn on data roaming, purchase apps or pay for the ad-free Pandora subscription.

"I'm not paying for it," James said. "I'm not paying."

Turns out he was right. The music streaming service could not stand idly by as promotions interrupted the NBA superstar's tunes.

The apparently frugal James was not going to turn down a free gift.

Skeptics who decry the rich getting richer can take solace in Pandora's expanding its offer beyond the three-time Finals MVP.

James may have stumbled upon another sponsor.
