Mackenzie Dern made the move up to flyweight for Legacy Fighting Alliance 24, and it could not have gone any better for the promising prospect.

Dern moves to 4-0 in her young career.

Dern floored Mandy Polk with a combination. The referee nearly stepped in to stop the action but decided against it at the last moment. It would not matter. Dern already had her back and sunk in the rear-naked choke.

Polk tapped out on Dern's forehead before she went to sleep.

Dern is not committed to staying at flyweight. Dern told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour (h/t MMAFighting.com's Alexander K. Lee) that she still feels like strawweight would be the best division for her if she can make the weight, but she would not commit to a decision just yet.

She made 125 with ease and looked outstanding. It may be only a matter of time before her phone rings for a call-up to the UFC, and it would almost assuredly be to compete in the newly minted flyweight division.
