Police Recommend Paige Be Charged with Battery over Orlando Airport Incident

The Orlando Police Department recommended Wednesday that WWE Superstar Paige be charged with battery stemming from a July 9 dispute at an airport involving her boyfriend and GFW wrestler Alberto El Patron.

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, an Orlando Police Department representative said the following: "OPD detectives have found that probable cause exists to charge Saraya Bevis [Paige] with battery (domestic violence). Detectives have sent the information to the State Attorney’s Office for review and the SAO will determine whether to file charges in the case."

TMZ reported on July 10 that El Patron was under investigation after a witness said there was an altercation.

Audio of the incident was later released by TMZ, and a person believed to be Paige can be heard telling a person believed to be El Patron to get out of her life (Warning: Some NSFW language):

While El Patron was initially the one being investigated, Paige later tweeted about the situation and said she had been held for battery after throwing a drink at El Patron, formerly known as Alberto Del Rio:

GFW suspended El Patron indefinitely as the investigation continues to play out.

The 24-year-old Paige hasn't competed in a WWE match since June 2016 because she has been on the shelf with a neck injury.

Prior to getting hurt, Paige was among WWE's most popular and successful female Superstars with two Divas Championship reigns to her credit.
