The 2017 NBA Finals may be over, but that's not stopping the feud between Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green from continuing.

During an appearance on the Road Trippin podcast hosted by Cavs teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, James denied Green's claims that he's responsible for starting the NBA's superteam era, via ESPN.com's Dave McMenamin:

"No. I mean in 2003, the Lakers combined Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Shaq and Kobe. In '96 ... the Rockets joined Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler all on the same team.

But I don't look at it as...I definitely didn't start the superteam, if that's what he's trying to say. But I just feel like that it's great that on the day you're celebrating your championship, my likeness and my name is in your head. I love that."

Green's comments about James starting the superteam trend came on Thursday during the Warriors' championship celebration.

"Superteam this, superteam that," Green said, via USA Today's Alysha Tsuji. "‘I never played on a superteam.’ You started the superteam, bro! I ain’t joining a superteam. Hey Slim (Kevin Durant), I don’t know what you just did, but you did something to those boys. We appreciate you joining the superteam. ‘I never played on a superteam.’ That’s crazy."

James was part of a formidable trio with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh as part of the Miami Heat from 2010-14. That group played in four straight NBA Finals, winning back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013. 

Since returning to Cleveland in 2014, James has led the Cavaliers to three straight Finals against the Warriors. After splitting the first two series, the Warriors capped off the trilogy in five games behind Kevin Durant's MVP performance.
