MMA Fight Called Off After Cringeworthy Groin Kick

Scott Harris

As most any man can tell you, a kick to the groin is a special combination of misery. Like a headache, intestinal distress, a punch to the stomach and an anxiety attack all rolled into one and localized in the most sensitive part of your body.

So the empathy flows like stormwater in the streets when you witness something like the incident that occurred Saturday at Road FC 39 in South Korea.

The main event pitted Myung Hyun-Man against Aorigele in a heavyweight battle. Just a few seconds in, Myung landed a heavy kick right in Aorigele's sensitive spot. The kick was so hard—landing shin first—that Aorigele collapsed and was in so much pain the doctors brought in a sheet to cover him while they examined the area.

The bout was ruled a no-contest. No word yet from Road FC on how the big guy's doing. Thoughts and prayers, thoughts and prayers.
