The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors set an NBA record Friday night when they combined to score 154 points in the first half of Game 4 to produce the highest-scoring half ever in a championship setting, according to USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt. 

The Cavaliers' 86 points also represented the most by any team in a half of a Finals game.

The Cavaliers were able to mount an 18-point halftime edge thanks to some sterling efficiency. All told, the Eastern Conference champions shot 60.0 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from three over the game's first 24 minutes. 

Furthermore, the Cavaliers drilled a Finals-record 13 threes in the first half, which represented more than they made in any of the series' first three games, according to ESPN Stats & Info. 

The Warriors produced tidy stylings of their own thanks to 53.5 percent shooting from the field. However, they shot just 6-of-16 (33.3 percent) from three and committed nine turnovers during that stretch.
