Sharpshooter Kyle Korver reportedly will remain with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Korver reportedly agreed to a three-year, $22 million contract to return to Cleveland on Sunday, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

The veteran has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks and Cavaliers. Best known for his ability to shoot from three-point range, Korver was traded by the Hawks to Cleveland during the 2016-17 campaign and should continue to provide perimeter scoring for the Cavs.

He was a 2014-15 All-Star, drilling a league-best 49.2 percent of his three-pointers for an Atlanta team that won an Eastern Conference-best 60 games. That shooting touch was apparent in 35 regular-season games with Cleveland, for which he posted 10.7 points per night behind a 48.5 percent clip from deep and took advantage of openings created by LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

Last season marked Korver's seventh year in which he averaged double figures.

He is 36 years old with a defined role as a three-point marksman who isn't going to provide elite defense (opponents shot 3.5 percentage points better than their usual averages when Korver defended them in 2016-17, per NBA.com). He is, however, a reliable scorer and didn't show signs of slowing at the end of the regular season.

He can also provide veteran leadership as someone who is postseason-tested, especially after a run to the Finals with the Cavs.

As long as Korver continues to hit his three-pointers at an impressive rate, Cleveland will have bolstered its offense by keeping him.
