Paul George, Gerald Henderson Fined $25K for Actions in Pacers vs. 76ers

Indiana Pacers forward Paul George and Philadelphia 76ers guard Gerald Henderson have both earned fines of $25,000 from the NBA for their actions during Monday's game won by Indiana, 120-111.

Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times passed along the league's statement, which said George was fined for criticizing officials after the game and Henderson was fined for a flagrant-2 foul when he threw an elbow at George's head late in the fourth quarter.

George's comments about the officiating were a direct result of the incident involving Henderson, per the Associated Press (via ESPN.com):

He was throwing jabs, throwing punches at my stomach all night and I didn't retaliate until late in the game when (the officials) weren't doing (anything) about it.

(Henderson) pulled me down and I got a double technical for doing nothing. And he threw an elbow at my neck and I get another technical for nothing. It was a (crappy) officiating job. It was physical all night and they did nothing after I warned them what was going on.

Henderson admitted to deliberately elbowing George because Indiana's All-Star had "elbowed me in the back" on the previous play before the incident that led to his ejection.

The Pacers' win over Philadelphia moved their record to 41-40 and one win away from clinching a spot in the playoffs heading into the regular-season finale on Wednesday.
