Mario Balotelli Scores Brilliant 86th-Minute Winner, Sent off 6 Minutes Later

Nice fans saw the best and worst of Mario Balotelli on Sunday, as he scored a brilliant late winner in their Ligue 1 clash with Lorient, before being sent off just six minutes later.

The scores were level at 1-1 with little time remaining when the Italian striker worked the ball onto his right foot and bent an exquisite finish into the far top corner.

The former AC Milan and Liverpool man picked up a yellow card for removing his shirt in the celebrations, a misdemeanour that was compounded in the 92nd minute when he was shown a second yellow and a red card for appearing to push his head into the face of an opponent.
