Manchester City Transfer News: Yaya Toure Eyed in Juventus, Inter Milan Rumours

Yaya Toure's ever-deteriorating relationship with Manchester City and manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly piqued the interest of Serie A duo Juventus and Inter Milan, who could move for the Ivorian midfielder as he looks for a way out of the Etihad Stadium.

According to Raimondo De Magistris of TuttoMercatoWeb, Toure is likely to depart City in January, and both Juve and Inter will reportedly bid for him.

Toure's agent, Dimitri Seluk, recently declared "war" on Guardiola. It followed the Spanish manager's request for Seluk to apologise for accusing him of "humiliating" Toure after omitting the midfielder from City's UEFA Champions League squad, per James Ducker in the Telegraph.

The pair have exchanged a war of words that is likely never to be resolved, and Toure's way back into the City squad now seems permanently blocked, per Bleacher Report UK:

As Barcelona manager, Guardiola sold Toure to City in 2010 after giving him a limited role in his early Blaugrana side—preferring Sergio Busquets in defensive midfield.

From the moment it was announced in February that Guardiola would succeed Manuel Pellergini in the top job at City, Toure's Sky Blues career looked doomed, per BBC Match of the Day's Danny Murphy.

The 33-year-old has not played a minute of Premier League football so far in 2016-17 as City have made an electrifying start, winning five matches from five so far in the campaign.

It is clear that David Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, Fernandinho and Fernando are now all ahead of Toure in the central-midfield pecking order at City, despite how effective he has been historically for the club, per Opta:

Toure's form has been in decline in the last couple of seasons—his Premier League goal return of just six in 2015-16 was down from 10 in 2014-15 and 20 in 2013-14, per WhoScored.com.

However, he is still immensely experienced and has the physicality and expertise to cause major problems to opposition defences.

For Juventus or Inter, he could be an excellent buy if he is offered a prominent role in the side.

He may also be available on the cheap considering his fractured relationship with City and the fact his contract expires in 2017.
