NASCAR at Charlotte 2016 Qualifying Results: Race Order, Final Times, Reaction

After it seemed like Joey Logano would continue his hot streak at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Martin Truex Jr. will instead be the pole-sitter for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600.

NASCAR provided a clip of Truex's lap that gave him the pole heading into Sunday:

Charlotte Motor Speedway also captured this image of the victorious Truex, who will be looking for his first career win on that race track this weekend:

Logano recorded the fastest times in the first two rounds of qualifying and seemed well on his way to following his All-Star race win last week in Charlotte with a pole win, but Truex's top time of 28.077 seconds in the final round edged out Logano's 28.124 seconds.

Logano could have been the third driver ever to come in first in each round since Brad Keselowski did it last November, per Fox Sports 1, but instead he will start in the front row for the fifth time this year:

Keselowski will start in fifth after posting a best time of 28.277 seconds and a top speed of 190.968 mph.

Defending champion Carl Edwards will start ninth.

It was another tough qualifying round for Dale Earnhardt Jr., who will start this race 25th and has yet to win a pole this year while still searching for his first win of 2016.

He took to Twitter after his qualifying run, saying he had plenty of time to right those wrongs heading into Sunday:

Truex will also be looking for his first victory in 2016. His final qualifying lap was close to perfect in terms of speed and precision. He's coming off his fifth top-10 finish at Dover on May 15, so he might be due for a victory Sunday.
