Charlie Strong, who was head football coach at the University of Louisville for four years before taking over at Texas in 2014, has had his subpoena remanded in the divorce case involving a Louisville trustee. 

According to William Joy of WAVE 3 NBC in Louisville, Jonathan and Tracy Blue reached a divorce settlement late Wednesday night, with part of the agreement being that "all motions and [the] subpoena" for Strong be remanded.     

On Feb. 20, Jason Riley of WDRB.com reported that Jonathan Blue wanted to use Strong as a “critical witness” to his then-wife's “repeated behavior and activities that are inconsistent with being a role model and responsible caretaker” for the couple's two children. 

According to Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman, an Oldham County, Kentucky, court scheduled a hearing motion regarding Strong's possible subpoena for this Friday before Jonathan and Tracy reached the settlement. 

Per Riley's report, Jonathan's attorney, Ann Oldfather, requested that Strong "produce his cellphones—'for the purpose of downloading all text messages'—his phone bills from 2012 to present, and all correspondence exchanged between Strong and (Blue) and with anyone else about her."

Other requests made by Oldfather included a Movado watch Strong allegedly received from Tracy and records of any airplane traveling he did dating back to 2012. 

Following the subpoena, Strong released a statement denying that he had received a court order involving the case, per Davis:

I was recently given information regarding a marital dispute between a couple I know in Louisville. I’m not a party to their divorce and have received no court order in this case. I certainly respect the legal system, and if I do receive a court order, I will review it and respond then. Since this is a legal case, it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to say anything further at this time. 

Strong also assured fans in Texas his focus would not be taken away from his job of getting the Longhorns ready for the 2016 season. Texas athletic director Mike Perrin issued a statement included in Davis' report, saying he's "spoken with Charlie about the recent media reports and he will keep [him] apprised of this situation."

After taking over as head football coach at Louisville before the 2010 season, Strong posted a 37-15 record for the Cardinals that included a victory over Florida in the 2013 Sugar Bowl. He has posted an 11-14 record in two seasons at Texas.
