Lee Cleared to Return vs. Hawks

Thursday, April 21

ESPN's Tim MacMahon reported Lee will play against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 on Friday after missing the first two games in the series.

Veteran Lee Provides Crucial Bench Presence for Mavericks

Lee, 32, joined the Boston Celtics prior to the 2015-16 season after seeing his role dramatically diminish with the Golden State Warriors in 2014-15. After averaging at least 16.0 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in the previous six seasons, Lee managed just 7.9 points and 5.2 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per contest last year, appearing in 49 games.

He came off the bench for Boston as well, however, averaging just 7.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game. The team bought out his contract in February, and he signed with the Mavericks after clearing waivers.

He's made more of an impact in Dallas, averaging 8.8 points and 7.1 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game.

Lee's return is a welcomed sight for the Mavs as they look to upset the Hawks.
