The New Orleans Saints made history against the Carolina Panthers in Week 13, becoming the first team to block an extra point and return it all the way for two points.

Among the rule changes the NFL made this past offseason was one that allowed defenses to score on an extra-point/two-point conversion attempt. Through the first 12 weeks of the season, no defense had been able to accomplish the feat.

It finally happened Sunday.

Following a Jonathan Stewart touchdown, New Orleans defensive tackle Kevin Williams blocked the extra-point attempt. In past years, that would've been the end of the play—but not this season. Saints linebacker Stephone Anthony quickly grabbed the ball and took it to the house.

Just like that, a potential 14-14 game turned into a 16-13 Saints lead.
