Lee's Injury Slows First Season With Celtics

With Draymond Green's emergence, coupled with head coach Steve Kerr's tendency to go small at the 4, Lee was crowded out of the Bay Area in his last season with the Golden State Warriors. Upon returning from injury in mid-December, the two-time All-Star was forced to take a diminished role.

Lee played 18.4 minutes per night in 2014-15, a nearly 15-minute decrease from his average the year before. As a result, he scored just 7.9 points and grabbed 5.2 rebounds per game.

His move to the Celtics benefited all parties involved. The Warriors removed a potential personnel issue, not to mention the roughly $15.5 million Lee will take home in the final year of his contract. Meanwhile, Lee joined a team on which he'll have a better chance of playing regular minutes, and Boston got a proven veteran with postseason experience.
