With a 4-1 win in Saturday's UEFA Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid won the European Cup for the 10th time—the most of any club.

Trailing 1-0 after 92 minutes thanks to a 36th-minute goal from Atletico's Diego Godin, Real defender Sergio Ramos headed home the equalizer in stoppage time to send the match into extra time. Real simply dominated from that point forward, getting the title-winner from Gareth Bale in the 110th minute, followed by goals from Marcelo in the 118th and Cristiano Ronaldo in the 120th.

The Champions League title was the first for the Spanish giants since 2002, when Zinedine Zidane led Los Blancos to a 2-1 victory over Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Glasgow, Scotland.

Italian side AC Milan have seven European trophies, the second most in history, followed by Bayern Munich and Liverpool, who each have five.

The four goals for Real Madrid—who led La Liga with 104 goals this season—were the most in a Champions League final since AC Milan defeated FC Barcelona 4-0 in 1994.

Despite finishing third in the league table behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona this season, Real Madrid not only won the Champions League, but also took home the Copa del Rey trophy, defeating Barcelona 2-1 on April 16 behind another title-winner from Gareth Bale.
