Brooklyn Nets Announce They'll Wear 'Nickname Jerseys' Jan. 10 vs. Heat

Fans of the Brooklyn Nets haven't had much to celebrate this season. The team with such high hopes in the offseason has crumbled under the weight of injuries and poor play, and it won't have access to one of its own draft picks until Doomsday.

But Nets fans with a passion for nicknames can look forward to Brooklyn's January 10 tilt against the Miami Heat. Not only will they be able to relive their team's best win of the season—November 1 against this very same Heat squad—but they will be able to watch their favorite Nets play in nickname uniforms.

The Heat will also wear nickname jerseys, according to Slam.

It makes sense. This will be a reunion of the old Celtics Big Three, so why should "Truth" and "Big Ticket" get to strut their stuff while leaving "J. Shuttlesworth" out in the cold? 

So who has the edge in this matchup between Cyrillic names and characters from Spike Lee movies?
