Whether you are a fan of reality television or not, it is something you simply can't escape these days.

And it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon.

Seemingly every station on your television has picked up some type of reality show, and the concepts have gotten quite bizarre over the years.

This is why we are turning to college football players to spice up our television time. We know they are busy with practice, game film and homework, but we need some of these guys to pick up a side job and start participating in some reality TV.

It could be a competitive show that requires skill, or it could be one of those dull concepts that would make watching a little easier if somebody we were familiar with was involved. 

I speak for everybody when I say I'm losing faith with network television. Here are some of the college football players who could instill hope by appearing on an upcoming reality show.

Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

Sammy Watkins is the type of player that you must know where he is on the field at all times. He has the speed, quickness and is an electric player that can take it to the house any given moment.

That type of personality translates off the field as well.

The young Clemson receiver isn't shy about telling a teammate he made a mistake by getting in his face. Watkins himself at times knows he needs to be more aggressive on the field and become a better leader. He is a passionate guy on the field who is willing to do whatever it takes to win.

Watkins has the look with his long dreads flopping in the wind and would certainly be a standout on one of those Survivor type shows. His competitive spirit wouldn't let him down, and he would be must-see television with the way he carries himself.

After all, all eyes are always on Watkins.

Nick Hill, RB, Michigan State

There is a good chance you haven't heard of Michigan State running back Nick Hill. He has spent much of his career fighting for playing time behind running back Le’Veon Bell.

Regardless, he likely has the coolest-looking tattoo in all of college football. In an age where we have seen some dreadful and forgettable ink, Hill has set the bar as far as tattoos are concerned.

With the Spartans running back walking around with a real-life Spartan on his oblique, he could start his own tattoo reality show to give some of these young, inspiring tattooists inspiration. There have been numerous series created, such as LA Ink, Miami Ink and Ink Master, but never have the contestants been given a masterpiece to help keep them motivated.

Hill would be the judge, and every piece done would be compared to what the Michigan State runner has under his shirt.

Shayne Skov, LB, Stanford

Shayne Skov is an intimidating football player. Just watching him play linebacker for Stanford makes you feel bad for the opposing players on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe it is the fact that he tackles everything in sight, or maybe it's the eye-black that drips down his face and makes him look like a superhero that should be cast in a movie.

Whatever the case may be, Skov just has that look about him. If you were ever in a dark alley or had to go to war with the Spartan that is on Nick Hill's oblique, you would want the Cardinal defensive player on your side.

Due to his aggressiveness and bad boy image that Skov has created with his play, you could totally see him on a reality show with a similar concept as Ax Men. Just send him up North and have him cut down trees and show those lumberjacks how to get the job done.

Chainsaw? Nope. Skov rips the tree right out of the roots and carries the log back to the truck on his shoulders.

Trust me, you would watch.

Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville

Teddy Bridgewater may need to have two reality shows.

You could totally see him starting his own talk show, like a Dr. Phil or Montel Williams. With his ability to lead his team and remain calm in the pocket, he is somebody who would have no problem helping somebody overcome his or her issues on national television. 

The other reality show Bridgewater should create is a dancing series. Forget Dancing With the Stars or So You Think You Can Dance, you haven't seen anything until you see the Louisville quarterback bust a move in the locker room.

I believe the dancing show would draw much better ratings, but regardless of which direction he would like to take this, creating a reality show would certainly help him become the household name that he deserves to be.

Braxton Miller, QB, Ohio State

Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller just has that look of being on some type of reality show. From the arm tattoos to the way he carries himself on the field, down to the swagger he plays with, Miller would fit in somewhere.

When you are able to break ankles like this and then nod your way into the end zone like it was easy, you have the "it" factor. When you are able to challenge your own defensive players and impress head coach Urban Meyer, you are a quarterback that not many want to tangle with. This is a nice change of pace—a solid quarterback that isn't scared of backing down from a streetfight.

I'm not quite sure yet what Miller could do for reality television, but with his swagger and toughness, I'm sure he would be successful at whatever it was. A young quarterback who's able to lead a team to an undefeated record in his first full season should have little trouble entertaining the masses while doing something crazy for ratings.

Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina

Jadeveon Clowney is the ultimate tough guy. When you are ahead of your generation athletically, and then unleash hits like this, you are the football player that everybody else fears. Clowney eats other football players for snacks.

Clowney could play a Ronnie-type character from Jersey Shore, except the South Carolina defensive end wouldn't need to get his hands dirty in every other episode. He'd just give the guy a look, and that would be the end of that.

You could put him in the middle of Detroit for an episode of Hardcore Pawn, and Clowney would show everybody just how hardcore it could really get.

This future first-round NFL draft pick reportedly threatened LSU players before last year’s game, and they would have been foolish to try anything. Clowney is the type of guy that you just hand over your lunch money to when approached in middle school.

A reality show would bring in the numbers, because you would watch—especially if Clowney told you to do so.

Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor

Much like Teddy Bridgewater using a reality show to gain worthy exposure, Lache Seastrunk could do the same. Averaging more than seven yards a carry last season, most probably don't even know who this guy is.

Well, he pretty much guaranteed that he is going to win this year’s Heisman Trophy.

A UCLA player then went on to say that only humble athletes win the most prestigious college football award. I beg to differ, and that type of confidence would fit in well in the next upcoming reality show.

How about Seastrunk bringing Fear Factor or Dog Eat Dog back from the dead? With him willing to announce such bold predictions to the world, I'm sure he wouldn't have any problem declaring that he could jump through rings of fire quicker than anybody else.

Seastrunk would make a good reality television contestant due to his extreme confidence.

De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon

De'Anthony Thomas would make for great reality television. He already has the name due to his explosive ability, and he also has the nickname, with folks calling him the "Black Mamba" as much as Kobe Bryant. And if you aren't following him on Twitter, you need to do so.

Did you know Thomas is featured on the new $100 bill? Or that he is the popular inventor of things we use today? Yeah, I learned this following him on the social network.

So what do you say about True Life: I'm Faster Than Any Other Football Player You Put on the Field? You could also put the speedy Oregon Duck in the Amazing Race, but I'm pretty sure all of the obstacles would be finished before the first commercial break.

Thomas would do well in reality television wherever you want to put him.

A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama

I recently had a talk with the entire college football universe, and we have demanded that A.J. McCarron start up a reality show.

This is somebody who doesn't mind diving head first in the middle of controversy. McCarron has had words with Tyrann Mathieu over Twitter, and he even went back and forth with Darnell Dockett recently. But the real reason everybody would love for McCarron to host his own show is the high possibility we would get to see his girlfriend Katherine Webb.

Just stand around. Talk about how Alabama has won oodles of national championships or how the weather has been out of whack the last three months. As long as your significant other is on the stage with you, I'm sure plenty of folks around the country will channel their inner Brent Musburger.

McCarron, you have yourself a future, my friend.

Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M

Was there any doubt Johnny Manziel would make this list?

I'm not sure if it would be against NCAA rules, but the Texas A&M quarterback could start his own reality show right this second. With the media already wondering what he has for breakfast and what color socks he will wear tomorrow, people just can't get enough of the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.

Manziel is your typical college kid who has no problem whatsoever being just that. He isn't afraid of the limelight and actually seems to enjoy having the cameras on him at all times. He is already talked about more than some of the celebrities that already have a reality show, so it wouldn't hurt to spice things up a bit by giving the kid a shot.

Manziel is somebody who is simply awesome at life. If he was to host his own show, it would likely change reality television forever and make the local network very proud.
