The Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma is one of the most prolific games in college football, but it's a rivalry that extends far beyond the field.

Oklahoma and Texas just don't like each other, so the more times they can beat the other program, the better, especially in recruiting.

Bob Stoops and the Sooners haven't had the greatest recruiting cycle just yet—ranked No. 31 by Rivals.com—but there's still time to turn it around and come away with a strong class.

That would be great, but how much sweeter would it be if Oklahoma's 2013 class featured a few players that they were able to steal away from Mack Brown and the Longhorns?

I dare say Sooners fans would be very happy about that. In that spirit of rivalry, here are three recruits Oklahoma should get to flip from Texas and become Sooners.

A'Shawn Robinson, 5-star DT, Fort Worth, Tx.

Being able to steal Robinson away from Texas would be a gigantic recruiting win for the Sooners, and they do have a very good pitch. Their depth chart has a ton of room for the 5-star defensive tackle, and they can really make the case for some early playing time.

They only have four defensive tackles on their current depth chart, three of which are Seniors. They also don't have a defensive tackle committed for 2013 yet according to Rivals, so Robinson would be the star of the class if he flipped over from Texas.

To make things even more interesting, Robinson is taking official visits. While Oklahoma isn't on that list, it does point to the 5-star defensive tackle not being sold on his commitment to Texas. With five defensive tackles on their depth chart right now, Texas is at a severe disadvantage if compared to what Oklahoma can offer the elite defensive tackle.

Speaking of offers, Oklahoma did make an offer to Robinson according to 247Sports. The Sooners would be smart to make a push for the 5-star defensive tackle

Kyle Hicks, 4-star RB, Arlington, Tx.

The one major setback for Hicks at Texas is that the depth chart at running features a Sophomore starter in Joe Bergeron, and a talented freshman backup in Johnathan Gray. Hicks may not get a chance to even compete to see the field early on in his career, and that could be something Oklahoma can use against Texas.

For the Sooners, both Damien Williams and Brennan Clay are Juniors, so Oklahoma's depth chart is much friendlier for a young running back. The fact that the Sooner's have a commitment from 5-star running back Keith Ford isn't even that much of a detriment considering the open spaces they will soon have once the two Juniors move on.

If Hicks wants a chance at playing earlier on in his career, Oklahoma can provide him a much better chance. They haven't yet made an offer to him though (he did have an interest in Oklahoma according to 247Sports), but it's something worth considering, because they could use another running back for 2013.

Durham Smythe, 3-star TE, Beltonville, Tx.

Durham Smythe is a 3-star tight end with incredible size and speed at 6'6'', 230 pounds running a 4.75 40-yard dash according to Rivals, so he would be a nice steal for Oklahoma.

Smythe is one of two tight ends committed to Browns' 2013 class—3-star JUCO tight end Geoff Swaim is their other. Oklahoma on the other-hand doesn't have a tight end committed for 2013 yet, so Smythe can come in and be the featured player at the position. He has the size and speed to be very good.

It is worth noting that Oklahoma did make an offer to Smythe before his commitment according to 247Sports, and it was also made before Texas' offer. Oklahoma does have a lot going for them if they wanted to try to flip Smythe.
