Bennett chimed in on Twitter about his injury, revealing how he's taking the devastating news:
God has a plan for me and everything happens for a reason. Get ready for a historic season Dawg nation. Our boys are gonna get it done!

This is a crushing blow to a Bulldogs team looking for national respect this weekend and beyond.
With Georgia’s leading receiver sidelined for the team’s biggest game of the year, the Gamecocks will have the clear advantage in their Week 6 matchup Saturday.
What It Means
With 24 receptions on the season for 345 yards and four touchdowns, Bennett was the Bulldogs’ clear No. 1 receiver. The 6’3” sophomore was having the breakout season every Georgia fan had dreamed about, and Aaron Murray found a real rapport with the star.
Now it’s all gone for 2012.
The hardest part of the Bennett injury to handle for fans is the fact that this comes just days before the biggest college football game of the season so far.
The Gamecocks should be more heavily favored because of this injury.
What’s Next?
It is obvious that Georgia’s defense struggles against viable competition, so the offense has to keep pumping on all cylinders as it has all season. That means wide receivers Tavarres King and Marlon Brown must seize this opportunity and become stars.
With the Bulldogs’ pass offense averaging 285.6 yards per game, one of the receivers on the roster has to be the one to step up or Georgia will lose in Week 6, likely ending its bid for BCS glory.
